While having lots of competition may make your internet marketing quite challenging, there are so many ways one can take advantage of having competitors for your site. If you are still starting out with your site, one good way to take advantage of your competitors is through building links. While a lot of people in the industry tell you that you need to get quality links, they rarely explain how they do it.
One good way to accomplish this is by observing the top ranking sites in your industry, your competitors. Next, use PageRank tools to find out what their top ranking articles are. In turn, pick out the sites that link to these articles. Once you have that list of sites, make it an effort to try and request to exchange links with them. More often than not, you will find that your site will rank better from these types of exchanges.
